A classic Tuscan appetizer…
maggio 18, 2011

A classic Tuscan antipasto, a savoury break or, even better, something that will tickle your appetite and please your taste buds: Cinta salami, pecorino cheese, salt to match the fresh fava beans that taste just like spring and green. Finally, a good glass of red wine.
An olive wood cutting board, a sunset over the Tuscan hills and the first enjoyable evening fresh breeze. This is the tradition, tomorrow we’ll discover the innovation. Stay tuned!

I love appetizers or really dinners like this. They are so simple but classy and quite filling. Your cutting board is beautiful!

I love the simplicity of this… fava beans and pecorino are the essence of spring!

We have some of the same sorts of things here in Portugal but use chorico and a goat cheese (that I don’t know the name of seeing as I can’t read Portuguese yet) but we haven’t had it with favas. I’ll have to remember to add that in the next time we do this type of antipasti dish
