In the morning, we’ll have a three-hour hands-on cooking class and we will cook a whole menu from scratch, from appetizer to dessert, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. You will discover the secrets of the local peasant country cooking. It will be a chance to get to know better local ingredients and to work on your kitchen repertoire adding reliable Tuscan recipes.
After the cooking class, we will drive to a nearby farm to visit it and taste its products. You can choose in between an organic sheep milk farm or a wine and extra virgin olive oil farm.

If you love cheese and are curious to visit a local family run farm, we will visit Podere Paugnano, an organic sheep farm where we will get to meet sheep, piglets and shepherd dogs, we’ll learn how to make pecorino cheese, discovering the option of traditional vegetarian rennet, and we’ll have a taste of their pecorino cheeses, sitting on a patio overlooking the town of Radicondoli.
The farm is located in a wilder part of Tuscany, off the beaten track, you’ll fall in love with the landscape, the farm and the cheese, of course!
Wine and olive oil farm
If you are curious to visit a typical Tuscan farm and want to discover the quintessential local products, we will visit Tenuta di Mensanello. In the historic heart of Tuscany and Chianti, Mensanello is located on a hill overlooking a picturesque valley. An agricultural village and an authentic Tuscan farmhouse, Tenuta di Mensanello is the typical example of an ancient Tuscan farm: villa, barns and winery are the farm centre. They have vineyards, olive groves and fields cultivated with wheat, barley, sunflowers, legumes and fodder crops. They produce wine, extra virgin olive oil, artisanal beer and charcuterie.
After the visit, we will taste their wine, their extra virgin olive oil and their charcuterie products.
How does it work?
The cooking classes are held in our Studio, located in a traditional country house in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in between Siena and Florence.
You’ll meet my family, our dogs Noa and Teo and our cats Wolfi and Pelù, and if the weather is good you’ll get the chance to eat outside in our garden underneath the olive trees.
We’ll meet at 9.30am directly at my studio. We’ll have a three our hands on cooking class, cooking a whole meal from scratch, from appetiser to fresh pasta, main course, side dish and dessert. Then we’ll sit down together to enjoy our meal and talk, like in a family. After lunch, we’ll drive to visit a local farm.
- You’ll join a group of enthusiast food lovers. You’ll meet strangers from breakfast and by lunchtime you’ll have new friends. We will still keep this a small party, though – not more than a total of 6 people will attend the class – as we like to have everyone involved in the cooking part.
- If you are part of a bigger group, contact us to verify the availability for a class.
- A private driver can be arranged on request for pick-up and drop-off (price not included).
- A photographer can be hired to take photos of your class, giving you precious memories of the experience. (please ask for a quote if you are interested in any of the options)

Are you looking for a longer intensive experience?
If you’re looking for a two-day or three-day class, I’ll tailor the experience to suit your needs and expectations. You’ll spend some days with us in between hands on cooking classes, markets tours and farm tours. We’ll also suggest you a nearby agriturismo where you can stay. We’ll have more time to delve into the Tuscan cuisine and I’ll help you create a Tuscan cooking repertoire. We’ll have lots of fun! Learn more about it!
