Fettunta party in the garden 2017

The Fettunta Party is back! Last year we had to cancel the event due to not reassuring weather forecasts, but we’re ready to get back to that curious behaviour of the first year of blogs, when events for bloggers did not exist yet, when you were forced to invent an occasion to meet fellow bloggers in real life. As tradition wants, it will be again on the 25th of April, Italy’s Liberation Day.

Just one day after the Three Acres Gathering we’ll open our garden, our heart and our pantry for our favourite annual event, a great way to meet fellow food enthusiasts and feast together.

Fettunta is another name Tuscans give to bruschetta, a toasted slice of bread doused in good olive oil. Guess what we’ll be eating?

At home in Tuscany

Food bloggers, food enthusiasts and friends: two years ago we were more than 70 people to hang out in our garden surrounded by olive trees to eat, drink and be merry. How many guests there will be this year?

Join us for an afternoon in the countryside: we’re about one hour drive from Florence and less than thirty minutes from Siena. We just ask you to bring something to eat or drink, possibly home made, and we’ll share everything in a pot-luck feast under the olive trees. Countless slices of toasted bread will flow, doused with the best local olive oil. There will be cakes, pizza, crostini, fruit salads and fruit juices, tea, wine and cheese.

If you want to get a feeling of what is our Fettunta Party, check this video from the last edition!

WEEKEND IN TUSCANY?

If you want to spend a long weekend in Tuscany, these are a few places we’d be happy to suggest you, all very close to where we are:

Agriturismo Il Caggio di SottoTenuta Mensanello | Agriturismo Borgo Santinovo | B&B Il Canto del Gallo | Relais della Rovere | Hotel Palazzo Pacini.

  1. This sounds great! I’m actually a little sad this is in Italy and not anywhere near my place.
Really hope I could attend one of your Fettunta Parties in the future. *crossing fingers

  2. I’m interested in participating! How do I rsvp? Is there a number I could call to get more information?
    Grazie! Monica
